Byrna HD Chemical Irritant Projectiles come in two formulations:

Byrna MAX which contain:

• (OC) Oleoresin Capsicum
• 12% (CS) 2-Chlorobenzalmalononitrile
• (PAVA) Pelargonyl Vanillylamide, a synthetic capsaicinoid

Upon impact, the projectiles burst and create a cloud of powdered chemical irritants. Inhalation of the powder and eye exposure will cause respiratory coughing and eye irritation, respectively.
